AUDITIONS - OPEN CALL for

Michele Lowe's STRING OF PEARLS

(Akron, Ohio, March 2, 2007, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE...) Weathervane =
Playhouse will hold AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT for Michele Lowe's comic =
drama, STRING OF PEARLS. Auditions will be held at Weathervane =
Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane (in the Valley off Merriman Road) on =
Monday and Tuesday, March 26 & 27 at 7 p.m. Auditioners may present a =
short contemporary monologue of their choosing and/or read from the =
script. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held Wednesday evening, March =
28 at 7 p.m.=20

Needed:

4 Women (who play 27 roles) age 20s - 60s

African-American women strongly encouraged to audition

Director for the production is Susan Speers, Ph.D., Professor of Theater =
at The University of Akron.

Production Dates: 10 performances in the John L. Dietz Theater between =
May 16 and June 2, 2007.

Weathervane Playhouse is a community theater.  All actors, designers and =
crew members are volunteers.

The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to =
encourage economic growth,
education excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
