With the pulsating energy, lights and colors of New York City,
Thoroughly Modern Millie has opened at the Carousel for a limited
engagement run through April 28, 2007. "Only in New York" and at the
Carousel will you find all the elements of a classic musical, a tapping
sensation with madcap comedy, a romantic love story and great music, see
why it was named Best Musical at the 2002 Tony Awards!

Full of hope, determination and with suitcase in hand, Millie Dill
mount, played by the sensational Hollie Howard, arrives in New York City
to find the man of her million-dollar dreams. Along comes the penniless
Jimmy Smith, played by the charming Brian Ogilvie. Jimmy and Millie meet
under alarming circumstances as Millie is mugged. Jimmy urges Millie to
return to Kansas as he gives her the name of a local hotel which takes
in new female arrivals. He falls for her immediately and literally!
Millie checks in at The Hotel Pricilla ran by the mischievous and
undercover Mrs. Meers and her lackeys who help keep the cover of her
real business. This hilarious trio will have you in stitches.

=20

Millie sets out to pound the pavement and find a job as a stenographer.
Her aspiration as a "Modern" is to marry wealthy, not for love. Things
go as planned...at first! Then true love steps in and things go awry.
Confused about whether love has anything to do with marriage, Millie
turns to her new best friends for guidance. Through disguises and
relationship mix-ups, who will end up with whom? And who is really who?

=20

Broadway Actress Hollie Howard dreams big, not unlike her character,
Millie Dillmount. Howard moved from a small town to the bustling
metropolis of NYC to pursue her dreams of Broadway. With three Broadway
roles to her credit (the original cast of Hairspray and Mama Mia and
Annie Get Your Gun, starring Reba McIntyre), she brings a wealth of
experience to her role. The clarity in her vocals is matched by her
precise acting ability, sharing a priceless chemistry with co-star Brian
Ogilvie (Jimmy Smith).

=20

Thoroughly Modern Millie is thoroughly entertaining and has audiences
laughing and falling in love with the adorable Millie. Do not miss your
chance to arrive!

=20

Saturday evenings at 8:30p.m., and Sunday evenings at 5:00p.m. Matinees
