INDEPENDENT STUDIOS ADDS CULTURE TO BAY VILLAGE WITH
SCOTTISH HIGHLAND DANCE AND MORE
(BAY VILLAGE, Ohio) =96 Independent Studios has opened its doors for =20=
business in Bay Village offering Scottish Highland dance lessons, =20
yoga classes, guitar and piano lessons for children, adults and =20
everyone in between. The studio offers rental space to teachers of =20
various trades. It is a permanent home to Sara Gilchrist and her =20
mother, Cathy, teaching Scottish Highland dance and piano =20
respectively, featuring a state-of-the-art dance floor and two music =20
rooms.
=93I wanted to create a place that is focused on giving home-based =20
instructors the opportunity to enhance their businesses and, as well =20
as giving children exposure to arts and culture they may not =20
otherwise experience,=94 said Sara Gilchrist, visionary and co-owner of =20=
the studio. =93My mother has been teaching piano out of our house since =20=
I was child. She is the prime example of how the studio can bring new =20=
life to your business and make things more exciting for your =20
students,=94 Gilchrist added.
Sara=92s Scottish Highland dance studio, Studio 723, operates out of =20
Independent Studios. She earned her BATD certification in 1998 and =20
founded the group in 2003. Scottish Highland dance originated as a =20
means of training, recruiting and celebration for the military in the =20=
Scottish Highlands. Today, the dance is performed in shows and =20
competitions around the globe.

A new Scottish Highland dance class will begin on March 27 and be =20
held on Tuesday nights from 6 =96 7p.m. The course is a =93Highland =20
Basics=94 course and is designed for dancers age 7 to 10. Classes are =20=
