The show is directed by Valerie Farschman, Troupe Director,
and has been selected to perform at the Ohio Educational Theatre=20
Association State Conference in Dayton, Ohio March 31.

Tickets: $10.00
sold at the door 30 minutes before curtain or from any Steele High=20
School theatre student.
Proceeds to help the 60+ students pay their way to the State Conference.


Winner of the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play. This exciting drama about=20=

the Puritan purge of witchcraft in old Salem is both a gripping=20
historical play and a timely parable of our contemporary society. "A=20

The story takes place in Salem, Massachusetts in the year 1692 and=20
focuses upon a young farmer, his wife, and a young servant-girl who=20
maliciously causes the wife's arrest for witchcraft. In court, the=20
farmer tries to get the girl to admit the lie =97 and it is here that =
the=20
monstrous course of bigotry and deceit is terrifyingly depicted. The=20
farmer, instead of saving his wife, finds himself also accused of=20
witchcraft and ultimately condemned with a host of others.
