Hudson, Ohio - April 11, 2007

=20

The Hudson Players will perform the comedy Run for Your Wife Friday and =
Saturdays May 4th - May 19th. Performances are at 8pm at the Barlow =
Community Theater. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by advance =
reservations by calling 330-655-8522.

Run for Your Wife was first produced in Guilford, England, in October =
1982, with the playwright acting the role of John. Ray Cooney repeated =
that role in the initial U.S. production at the Virginia Theater in New =
York in March 1989. Run for Your Wife was included in the British =
National Theatre's NT2000 list of significant plays of the 20th century. =

The setup is London cabdriver John Smith's unusual marital arrangement.

Over here is his lovely wife, Mary. Over there is his lovely wife, =
Barbara.

John keeps up with both wives by juggling his work schedule and keeping =
a complicated code system in a small pocket note pad. =20

All goes well until John gets a knock on the head while helping a little =
old lady escape two muggers. Suddenly, he's a hero with a photo of him =
and Mary on the front page of the newspaper, which, to his chagrin, =
lands on the doorsteps of both wives.=20

How does the wily cabbie worm his way out of this mess?

Like any good worm: by digging himself and his helpful buddy Stanley =
Gardner in deeper and deeper.=20
