      About The Play...

This month, Ken Ludwig's wild comedy /Leading Ladies/ returns to the
Cleveland area. The show premiered at the Cleveland Playhouse in 2004
under the direction of Michael Bloom and Dean Gladden, and will be
making its new appearance at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre under the
direction of Barbara L. Rhoades. The play runs Friday and Saturday
evenings at 8 PM from April 27th through May 19th. A special 'Gala
Soireé' featuring hors d'oeuvres and champagne punch will be held at
6:30 PM on May 11th (additional admission required).

/Leading Ladies/, a comedy of errors from the author of /Crazy For You/,
/Moon Over Buffalo/ and/ Lend Me A Tenor/ centers around two Englishmen
- Jack (Eric Oswald) and Leo (Brian McCann). This pitiful pair of
Shakespearean actors are down on their luck and playing the 'Moose
Lodge' circuit in deep Pennsylvania. They think their luck has turned
when they discover that Florence (Yvonne E. Pilarczyk), a wealthy,
ailing old woman in York, PA plans to leave her fortune to her long lost
English nephews. The men hatch a plan to get the cash for themselves by
putting their acting skills into play and pretending to be her missing
relatives. When the gents arrive in York, however, they are in for big
surprises, both in terms of the missing heirs, as well as in the form of
Meg (Lisa Tarr), who is Florence's vivacious neice. Romantic
entanglements and hilarious farce make /Leading Ladies/ a certain riot
for all audiences.

*COMING in MAY:
