Dear Thespians and fellow theatre-goers:

Cesear's Forum is offering French playwright Yasmina Reza's play THE UNEXPECTED MAN, translated by Christopher Hampton, in a May/June run at Kennedy's Down Under, Playhouse Square Center, Cleveland, Ohio. Two strangers on a train, a novelist and literary enthusiast, reveal (through interior monologues) desire, self-invention and the imaginings of a brief encounter.  A French writer, Ms. Reza's plays have reached an international audience. Her uncanny ability to write as a foreign intellectual on themes familiar, comedic yet serious in tone, have contributed to her American success, notably her Tony award winning play ART. Both plays owe a debt to British playwright Christopher Hampton's translations. 

The Cleveland production features veteran actor and company favorite, Glenn Colerider, alongside well respected regional theatre actress, Linda Castro.  Cesear's Forum, Cleveland's small resident non-profit professional theatre company, housed within Cleveland's Playhouse Square Center, is known for it's intimate simple staging of plays theatrical and didactic. The production will be staged by Artistic Director Greg Cesear, with a setting by Michael Larochelle and lighting by Maureen Patterson.  Performances are Friday & Saturday at 8 pm, Sunday at 3 pm, May 11th through June 10th. All seats $15, Playhouse Square Center, 1501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. Call Tickets.com at (216) 241-6000.
