When The Chickens Came Home To Roost, 

written by Laurence Holder and directed by Jimmy D. Woody, takes a vivid
look into the faltering relationship between Malcolm X and his mentor Elijah
Muhammad as Malcolm prepares to leave the Nation of Islam amidst
philosophical differences and Muhammad's infidelities.  The Obie-award
winning play, helped to launch the career of Denzel Washington who performed
as Malcolm X.

Body & Sold

written by Debra Lake Fortson, and directed by  Heidi Bedrossian, explores
sex trafficking in the United States through the lives of three young women.
The subject is frequently touched on during the news each night and feared
as local youth disappear. The play presents situations our teens and parents
should see and heed. Following the performances, we plan to have discussions
on the exploitation and prostitution of young women and men.

Both shows and themes are suitable for ages 15 and up.
