There are still a few open spots available for Fine Arts Association's 
   
   
  Young Actors Ensemble
   
  The Young Actors Ensemble is a theatre camp for students entering grades 9-12 and recent 2007 high school graduates who want to enroll in an intensive acting study. In this challenging program, creativity, collaboration, and discipline are emphasized as students explore the acting process in a supportive and nurturing environment. The Young Actors Ensemble provides a balance between studio work and performance by culminating in a showcase production of the students' work at the end of the session. 
   
  Students will study 4 hours a day, twice a week for six weeks. Areas of focus include: Acting Technique, Movement, Vocal work, Ensemble work, Improvisation. The final showcase consists of scripted scene work and original pieces from the students' work during the session. 
   
  In order to give more individual attention to each student, the enrollment is limited to 25 students. Prospective students must audition before registration in an effort to determine skill level. ALL ability levels will be considered. The student's depth of dedication to to learning about the craft of theatre will be considered in the selection process. 
   
  Camp dates and times:
  Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30pm-5:30pm beginning June 26, 2007 to August 7, 2007, plus dress rehearsal on Monday, August 6, 2007. Attendance during the sixth week is mandatory. 
   
  Performance date:
  Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 7:30pm in the Fine Arts Association's Corning Auditorium. 
  Performance is free and open to the public.
   
  Camp fees:
  $295 per student plus registration fee
  ($10 per student, $15 per family)
   
  Audition information:
  Call the Fine Arts Association Customer Service Desk at 440-951-7500 to schedule an appointment with the program director, Sandy Kosovich Peck.
  Audition preparation: Student must prepare a 1 minute contemporary monologue from a play or musical. Monologue must be memorized. There will also be a short interview with the Program Director.
