Matthew James Murphy has been back in the Cleveland area for two years 
now teaching more than 40 students a week Guitar/Piano lessons while 
pursuing his career in song writing. Matthew performed as an actor in 
the show RENT on Broadway for three years and has made numerous 
appearances on Late night with Conan O Brien before leaving to focus on 
writing. Matthew has recently placed 2 original songs on National TV. 
One of which was on Laguna beach (Mtv) and Paradise City (E Network). 
Matthew believes in the talent in Cleveland, it is a great place to 
establish yourself before moving onto LA/NYC/Nashville. Matthew's first 
artist was Jami Ross who is now doing great things  in LA. Jami and 
Matt continue to write together as Jami gets closer to a record deal. 
Matthew is currently writing for new artists due out in the fall and is 
always looking for more!!

LESSONS:
Matthew teaches a non-classical style to beginners of all ages and also 
teachers singers how to accompany themselves with chords on 
Guitar/Piano. Matthew does teach the basics and will teach the treble 
bass clefs. Lessons are given at students home/apartment. Majority of 
lessons are a half hour, but some are for an hour/45min. Lesson price
