Mel Hakola gave me permission to tell the community of the passing of his  
beloved wife Jena on Thursday, June 7 after a brief illness.  Here is a  notice 
that B-W sent to me by email as well:

"Jena (Jeannette)  Hakola, Conservatory retiree, passed away Thursday June 7 
after a brief illness.  She is survived by her husband, Mel (Melvin),  Faculty 
Emeritus.  We will have a memorial  service this Saturday, June 16 at the B-W 
Lindsay-Crossman Chapel, 56 Seminary Street, Berea at 11  o'clock AM.  It 
will be followed by a  reception in the Chapel lounge."

Mel tells me that Jim Pitcher will sing and  that Jack Lee will be coming in 
from New York to play piano for the  service.
