Regarding Mr. Aylward's response to Michael Caraffi's call for
musicians at EST. You just don't get it, do you? I cannot believe
you have the nerve to accuse someone that they don't value a
musician's time because in this particular situation, there isn't
enough money in an organization's budget to satisfy the needs of the
likes of you. Come on! No one asked you to take the job, so don't
be so presumptuous as to think that Mr. Caraffi doesn't value the time
of any musician. He is a very talented, experienced musician himself
and knows what every second is worth in putting a show together. If
you love your craft, sometimes you honestly do things for the love of
it. Giving is a good thing. You should try it sometime.
There was no insult here at all, Michael Caraffi. As one of the
responders said, this is a great vehicle for many people of various
levels to take advantage of. NEOPAL reaches not only the very
experienced but people of all levels of talent and musicianship.
Community Theater is just that, COMMUNITY. I've worked in many
different shows for a wide range of pay, sometimes FREE. The end
result is that you put your best foot forward and do the best you can.
If you have the time to GIVE a little back to the COMMUNITY, you may
find that good things will come back to you.
