JEWISH THEATRE PROJECT HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR BROOKLYN BOY

AKRON-After many years, Jewish theatre is returning to the Shaw JCC of
Akron this fall with a production of Brooklyn Boy, by Donald Margulies.
The play will be directed by Akron theatre veteran Bob Belfance.

The play tells the story of the critically celebrated but unsuccessful
novelist Eric Weiss, whose life drastically changes when his new,
autobiographical novel becomes a best-seller. An outsider all this life,
he is suddenly on the inside of everything:  town cars, television
studios, the Sunday book review. But as his career takes off, his
personal life suffers.

Auditions for Brooklyn Boy will be at the Shaw JCC of Akron, 750 White
Pond Drive, Akron on Sunday, August 12 at 3 pm and Monday, August 13 at
6:30 pm. Callbacks if needed will be August 19. Roles are available for
four men, ages 20s-70s and three women, ages 20s-40s.
