There are just two more weekends left to experience one of
convergence-continuum's wildest productions yet:  SPAWN OF THE
PETROLSEXUALS, a new play by Cleveland playwright Christopher Johnston.

Enter the world of underground graphic novels, live on stage.  We'll take
you to an America of the not-too-distant future -- a world where most of
the oil is gone. What's left is controlled by powerfull overlords and
their commandoid enforcers.  Without energy, society has crumbled.  There
you'll join a ragtag group of superheroes -- Angerboy, Freegrrl, Holyman
and Ingen-- in their wild misadventures in their hideout, an empty and
abandoned big-box store.  They're homeless.  They're superheroes. They're
both.  Or so they think.

For this show, the Liminis has been transformed into the L-Mart, the
hideout of our scruffy superheroes.  There are video segments, some music
and plenty of your favorite convergence-continuum actors.  A couple of
newcomers to the Liminis, too.

So come experience this alternately raunchy, irreverent, creepy, funny,
violent and touching wild ride for yourself.  SPAWN OF THE PETROLSEXUALS,
an underground comic by Christopher Johnston runs Thursdays, Fridays and
Saturdays at 8 pm through August 11 at the Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd. in
Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood.  Tickets are only $12 gen. admission, $9
