We still need to cast The Page for our December production of Amahl and
the Night Visitors.  This role is for a tenor or high baritone. The Page
has a good deal of stage business and he sings dramatically during the
pivotal scene of the opera. The role could be played by an adult or even
an older high school student.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

1) tenor or high baritone=20

2) One song of your choice, memorized in English (An accompanist will be
provided, please bring music.)

Arts in the Cathedral (Church of the Saviour in Cleveland Hts.) will be
presenting Gian Carlo Menotti's chamber opera Amahl and the Night
Visitors on Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 8 at 4:00 p.m. =20

This 45 minute opera tells the touching story of a lame shepherd boy who
lives in poverty with his widowed mother.  In the middle of the night a
knock at the door announces a visit from the three Kings following the
star in search of the Christ Child. Flustered, the mother sends Amahl to
ask their neighbors to bring gifts and to dance for the Kings. An act of
selflessness changes the lives of Amahl and his mother forever.
