The Jewish Theatre Project of the Shaw Jewish Community Center of Akron  is 
very pleased to announce the company of Brooklyn Boy.  The Shaw JCC is located 
at 750 White  Pond Drive, Akron off highway 77 and “Near Akron Akron Akron” – 
 Bridge.  
Jewish theatre returns to  the Shaw JCC this fall with Donald Margulies' play 
Brooklyn Boy. The play  tells the story of the critically celebrated but 
unsuccessful novelist Eric  Weiss and his complicated but unresolved relationship 
with his father,  Manny.  Eric’s life changes  drastically at the same time as 
his new, autobiographical novel becomes a  bestseller. 

The play is directed by Akron theatre  veteran 
Bob  Belfance.
