FINAL WEEKEND!
October 5-7, 2007
the world premiere of
Reflections
(Peggy Sings Leiber and Stoller)

Music and lyrics by
Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller
Book by Tom Fulton & Laura Theodore
Directed by Tom Fulton
Starring Laura Theodore as Peggy
Beck Center for the Arts
Mackey Main Stage

This world premiere musical includes the brilliant Leiber and Stoller
songs recorded by Peggy Lee in the 60s and 70s. Reflections reveals her
life story through a multimedia extravaganza that combines film,
narration, dance, and song. It is the story of one women's struggle to
rediscover herself and her music in the 1960s, during the birth of rock
and roll and a time of social change.

In 1975, legendary songwriters Leiber and Stoller produced the album
"Mirrors," a musical masterpiece, which was later re-released in 2005 as
"Peggy Lee Sings Leiber & Stoller." This timeless collection of 15
songs written by this prolific team includes well-known numbers like
"Kansas City," "I'm A Woman" and the legendary hit "Is That All There
Is." Reflections is a kaleidoscope of these beautiful love songs,
hilarious send-ups of Broadway and haunting tunes of days gone by.

Now for the first time, critically acclaimed actress and jazz recording
artist, Laura Theodore brings these remarkable songs to the stage.
Guitarist Joe Beck, who worked with Peggy for many years, provides a
first-person filmed narrative with sweet, funny and poignant memories,
while Theodore brings Leiber and Stoller's music to life through the
genius of her remarkable voice.

Reflections is produced by Virtual Media Post Productions and is
sponsored by COX Communications, WNWV 107.3 The Wave and WCPN 90.3
ideastream.
