This workshop will aid students in shaping their stories and ideas into
dramatic writing through discussion and writing exercises.  The
instructor will also touch on how beginning playwrights can get their
work read and ultimately produced.

Dr. David White, Artistic Director of The Generous Company and
Co-Artistic Director of WordBRIDGE, will join the Beck Center on the
opening weekend of his world premiere adaptation of Alice's Adventures
in Wonderland. Dr. White's works have been produced around the country
and his play, Trash was recently presented at the New York Fringe
Festival.  He is the former Literary Manager for the Eugene O'Neill
Theater Center in New London, Connecticut.  Dr. White currently serves
as professor of dramaturgy and playwriting at Towson University in
Maryland.

Beck Center for the Arts is located at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood,
just ten minutes west of downtown Cleveland.  Convenient free, on-site
parking is available.  

* Cost includes a ticket to Saturday's 7:30 pm performance of Alice's
Adventures in Wonderland.
