It's not a musical, but there is music in it. It's not a mystery, though
there is plenty to try and solve. It is filled with murders, though you'll
barely care. It is very funny from beginning to end.

It's 1940, and the creative team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (in
which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious "Stage Door
Slasher") are assembling for a backer's audition of their new show at the
estate of a wealthy sponsor. The estate is filled with sliding bookcases,
secret passages, revolving fireplaces and a German maid who seems to be four
different people. All of these figure into the comic mayhem that ensues
when the infamous "Slasher" strikes again. As the cast assembles, a
blizzard cuts off their retreat, bodies drop in plain sight, knives spring
out of nowhere, masked figures are everywhere and the laughs never stop.
Don't worry. The murders are so incidental that you'll barely notice
because you will be treated to a sidesplitting good time and a generous
serving of the author's (John Bishop) biting, satiric and refreshingly
irreverent wit.

For a fun-filled evening, join the cast of

Dylan Herts, Brian Huser, Andrew Johnson, Annie Krol, Randi Michel, Amy
Murdoch,

Wes Rupert, Margaret Rybak, Sam Skove, Hannah Stofan and Connor Zagrans

as they romp through the Hawken Players Society production of

The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940.
