SEEKING OUTSTANDING VIOLINIST AND FLUTE PLAYER

Lakewood's Beck Center for the Arts will be mounting our third and final
production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast this December. Last year's
violinist and flute player have both left the Cleveland area. I need to
fill these positions for the upcoming run.

The productions in 2005 and 2006 sold to record houses and received critical
acclaim throughout the Northeastern Ohio media. With the return of the lead
actors and an ensemble spiced by many wonderful additions, this year's
performance promises to be even better. Please review the information below
and let me know if you would like to be a part of this year's production.
THANKS!

REHEARSAL AND PRODUCTION DETAILS!

Orchestration: This version of the Beauty and the Beast orchestration is the
one used by touring companies and was scaled down from 22 musicians to 14.
As such, the parts are all technically demanding and require quite a bit
more playing stamina than a more typical Broadway release.

The violin part has several challenging passages and many exposed solos well
up on the fingerboard. The flute has an audible presence throughout the
show and has several technically challenging passages as well. For both of
these parts, I have individuals that are available to sub or serve as
replacements the last two weekends of the show.
