The final Singalong of 2007 at the Carlisle Cafe will be a BENEFIT for a Lorain County counseling center, and will feature "Christmas Carol Wars".

Diana Tyler will perform at the Carlisle Cafe on Saturday, December 22, 6-8 p.m., with another night of group singing and "guitaraoke". Patrons are invited to come for dinner and drinks as Diana revisits those old songs everyone learned in school, some hit parade standards, show tunes, and rock, pop, folk, country, blues, and gospel memories from yesteryears. Diners are invited to sing along while they dine, or brave the microphone with a friend or two.

A special feature of this particular evening will be "Christmas Carol Wars" which will benefit Pathways Counseling & Growth Center, Lorain County's only not-for-profit, faith-based counseling facility. Pathways provides infant therapy as well as counseling for children through adults, on a sliding fee scale based on what the client can afford. The Center recently celebrated 25 years of providing quality services to people of all income levels, and wants to be able to continue and expand its services in the years ahead.

Diana will play requested Christmas tunes...with or without a donation...UNLESS others in the audience DON'T want to hear that particular song. (We've all heard holiday songs that we find annoying--you know which ones they are!) Bidding between interested parties will determine if a song will eventually be played that evening. All proceeds from the CCW will benefit Pathways. In addition, Diana will donate to Pathways all contributions for purchases of her original Christian music cd--a very appropriate stocking stuffer. (Can't be at the Cafe on the 22nd? Checks--payable to Pathways Counseling & Growth Center--may be sent to Pathways at 312 Third St., Elyria, OH 44035. Donations to Pathways are tax-deductible. You can visit Pathways on the web at www.pathwayscounselingcenter.com .)

With the early start time, late-nighters can enjoy all the festivities at the Carlisle Cafe and still have plenty of time to hit other hot spots afterwards. Best of all, there's NO COVER CHARGE...and no obligation to sing if you don't want to.

The Carlisle Cafe (1509 Grafton Rd., near Fuller Rd., in Elyria) offers a full menu of family dining favorites and DOES serve alcohol for those who wish to imbibe. Call 440-458-6516 or visit www.dianatyler.com for more information.
