Cleveland Public Theatre announces auditions for
The Other Shore
by Gao Xingjian
Gao Xingjian is a Chinese Nobel Laureate playwright living in exile. The
Other Shore is considered one of Xingjian's seminal works. Banned in

narrative about discovering one's individuality. The play is in the
"physical theatre" style. This will be the second major production of
this script in the United States. The play is directed by CPT Executive
Artistic Director Raymond Bobgan.
Auditions will be conducted in two-three hour sessions with small
groups. Auditioners should prepare a short monologue (2 minutes MAX) and
may sing (OPTIONAL) 8 bars a cappella. Group work will also be included
in the audition.
