"To bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance."
George Washington confirmed his convictions about religious freedom when
he wrote these words in 1790 in a letter sent to the Touro Synagogue
Congregation of Newport, Rhode Island. As a tribute to Washington and
all of our American Presidents, the Museum will be open on President's
Day, Monday, February 18 from 11 am to 5 pm. Washington's correspondence
will be re-enacted with a short discussion at 2pm. The day would not be
complete without a slice of (kosher) cherry pie!
The Presidents' Day program is free with Museum admission
Admission is $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for seniors and students, and free
for children 12 and under
Pie is first-come, first-served
REGISTER TO VOTE AT THE MALTZ MUSEUM 1-3pm
