A friend of mine passed along the following; I thought you might be interested:

Toby Jones, Presbyterian minister and rock and roll musician, is coming to Forest Hill Church in Cleveland Hts on Saturday night (the 16th).  (He's also appearing at C-Space Community Center (W. 44th and Clark, 216.906.3026) the following evening.)  He's written a book called "The Gospel According to Rock," which deals with how closely aligned parts of rock and roll are with the teachings of Christianity.

He'll be discussing (and selling and signing) his book, and showing slides, playing and singing, etc, to illustrate. It's sort of a multi-media concert-plus. 

Both appearances are free.  The Forest Hill gig starts at 7:30 pm.  The address is 3031 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland Hts., phone number 216.321.2660.

Toby's got a website (http://www.booksandbridges.com/) that has 2 really useful things:  pages from short sections of his book (see Sample Content), and a video showing one of his performances (see About the Author for the YouTube link).

And for the Westsiders, Toby's originally from Bay Village.  Maybe he's an old friend?
