A brief history: I took my first Improvisation class (another no-brainer investment) with Marc when we were both in our 20's.Back in the Reagan era.I've had the pleasure of knowing Marc on and off (mostly off) for 20 years.We were both tall,dark and handsome back then.Alright,screw the tall part.And ok,maybe I'm not movie star handsome...well, I used to be cute and adorable-back in the Nixon Era.There you have it.Marc has his AARP card,and I still look 35.I don't think Marc approved this part of the testimonial.And I am so not a Republican.
 
The testimonial:I hired Marc Moritz for monologue coaching in preparation for the General auditions at the Playhouse in 05.Wise move.and not all my moves are wise.If you think your theater degree coupled with the unharmed monologue book will be the trick,you're mistaken.You see,Marc has been coaching actors since you were in diapers,(for those of you born during the Clinton era).This means that usually present at every professional level audition will be one of Marc's students.And if they're your similar type,guess who has a better chance of the coveted call back? 
 
Darn it,a third nice-sized paragraph.I promised two.Would the actor who privately ripped me for my previous typos please voice his disgust at my lack of courtesy in typing to,two,too much.
 
Hire Marc to polish your potential.Marc will not only help you choose the right monologue(s),(yes 6-12 are in every professionals arsenal),he will help you make it your own.It will not be all fun and games.He will challenge you to sweat the details,ie action,motivation,the moment before,etc.He will show you the strategic highs and lows within the material that will authentically show your range to your auditors.And he will show you what I felt was the very unique(new to me anyway) way to physically and emotionally transition between  your chosen  two contrasting monologues.This itself was an eye opener to me.The results.Within the same afternoon after my General audition,I received two call backs,and one immediate paid booking.I have since had the good fortune of sharing the stage and a new agent with him.
Thanks Marc-you will have a good table at my wedding.
