[NEohioPAL] Theatre Production: Ashland University Theatre presents Dead Man Walking

As part of the Dead Man Walking School Theatre Project, Ashland University Theatre will present the death penalty drama “Dead Man Walking,” written by actor/director Tim Robbins and based on the Pulitzer-Prize nominated book by Sister Helen Prejean. Performances are Feb. 22, 23, 28, 29, and March 1, at 7:30 p.m., in Hugo Young Theatre in the Center for the Arts. Sister Helen will speak on Sat., Feb. 23, at 3:30 p.m., and will attend the performance. 

Ticket prices for the performance (lecture is free) are $10 adults; $9 senior citizens/children/AU faculty and staff/non-AU students; $7 groups of 10 or more. Please call 419-289-5125 for tickets or more information or stop by the box office at College Avenue and Grant Street, inside the lobby of the Hugo Young Theatre. Box office hours are Monday-Friday 12-6 p.m. and one hour prior to each performance.

The Dead Man Walking School Theatre Project, a series of events dedicated to creating dialogue on the controversial issue of the death penalty, is sponsored by the Ashland Center for Nonviolence, the Art Department, the Department of Theatre, and the Office of the President.
