  PRODUCTION DATES:  May 23rd and 24th 
   
   
  The Story:  After Juliet was inspired by Sharman Macdonald’s daughter, actress Kiera Knightley.  After seeing Baz Luhrman’s Romeo and Juliet when she was 12 years old, Kiera told her mother to “write a play about Rosaline.”  Kiera wanted to know what happened to her and who she was.”  Intrigued with the idea, Ms. Macdonald wrote After Juliet.  It’s about Rosaline, Romeo’s former love before he met Juliet.  She is angry and is determined to avenge Romeo’s death by prolonging the Capulet/Montague feud.  The setting is anytime, anywhere.  After Juliet mixes Shakespearean verse with contemporary language.
