The world's most famous detective arrives at CVLT

CHAGRIN FALLS, OH - The year is 1891, and Sherlock Holmes is dead. Or is
he? Perhaps this is just a clever scheme by the world's greatest
detective to ensnare his great adversary, the devious Professor
Moriarty. Only Holmes' faithful friend, Dr. Watson, knows for sure.
Chagrin Valley Little Theatre audiences are invited to discover the
truth through a cross-continental race with the master of deduction
entitled /Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure/. Steven Dietz' play,
based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories /A Scandal in
Bohemia/ and /The Final Problem/, will open at CVLT on March 14th,
playing Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 through March 29th.

Under the direction of Alex Nine, we meet Holmes (Charles Leonard) at
the end of his career; a man of science coming to grips with his nemesis
Moriarty (Michael Rogan), as well as with his heart's desire in the form
of Irene Adler (Brenda Redmond). Adler is an opera singer and former
love of the King of Bohemia (Greg Bealer). Holmes has been following her
career and her voice with interest, but once he meets her in the flesh,
he is smitten. The story of their travels together and Holmes' battle
against his personal demons are related to us by the detective's
assistant, Watson (Gary Speidel). The thrilling plot twists its way from
Victorian London to a deadly showdown in the Swiss Alps. But who will
walk away from the perilous Reichenbach Falls? To be sure, with Holmes
on the case, you're in for a night on the edge of your seat, filled with
suspense, mystery, drama and a healthy dose of humor.

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre will be hosting a gala dinner at the
theatre on March 29th at 6:00 PM. Tickets to the special event are $60
per guest, which includes a catered dinner featuring beef tenderloin,
blue cheese soufflé, English trifle and more, followed by the final
performance of /Holmes/. Call the box office to reserve your seat at
this limited-seating event by March 26th.

Tickets for /Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure /can be purchased
online at www.CVLT.org <http://www.CVLT.org>, or by calling the Box
Office at 440-247-8955 between 1 and 6 PM, Monday through Saturday. CVLT
is located at 40 River Street in historic Chagrin Falls Village.

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is generously funded by Cuyahoga County
residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and is supported by the Ohio
Arts Council. CVLT was voted 'Best Community Theatre' by Cleveland
Magazine Readers, and 'Best Theatre Group' on the Fox 8 HotList in 2007.
