Weathervane Playhouse Announces Auditions for THE RAINMAKER

The London's Daily Mail called  N. Richard Nash's The Rainmaker  "a beautiful little comedy with a catch in its throat."

As their farm languishes under a devastating Depression-era drought, one woman's family worries more about her marriage prospects than about their dying cattle. Suddenly, a charming stranger promises, for the right price, to bring rain. 
 

"Stirring" (Newsday), "captivating" (New York Times), "wise" (Times of London) and "wonderfully funny" (New York Daily News), this "classic" (Chicago Sun-Times) will leave you "moved and entertained" (New Yorker). A film version starred Burt Lancaster & Katharine Hepburn.   A musical adaptation, "110 in the Shade," played to packed houses on Broadway.
