STAGECRAFTERS YOUTH THEATRE

 announces auditions for our Summerstock Production of:
RENT
Student Edition

Directed by Jamie Koeth
Musical Direction by Ryan Bergeron
Choreography by Toni Cervino
 
Students from any school are eligible to audition.  The youngest students eligible must be entering the 9th grade next fall.  The oldest age eligible is 19 years old.
 
Auditions and Callbacks will be held at:

General Vocal Auditions:
Students may arrive any time between 1pm and 4pm on either day.
Saturday, June 7th, 1-4pm 
Sunday, June 8th, 1-4pm
For those who cannot attend the general audition dates, we will schedule an alternate audition time for you during callbacks.  Please email jamiekoeth at hotmail.com in advance to schedule an alternate audition appointment if you cannot attend the general auditions. Callbacks (for those invited):
Sunday, June 15th 1-6pm
If you are invited to attend callbacks, please come early and be dressed to move!  You may be asked to sing specific songs, read from the script or dance.  Please be prepared to stay for the entire callback.
 
Only advanced, mature students should audition.  You and your parents must be familiar with the show and its subject matter.  Students under 18 years old must have their parents sign a waiver provided that states that they are aware of the show’s content and believe that he or she is mature enough to participate.  RENT will be billed as rated R.
 
**In order to participate in this production, each performer is responsible for MANDATORY PARTICIPATION FEES which will be listed specifically on the audition form.
**Please bring a RESUME that includes your theatrical experience.  Headshots are welcome but not mandatory.
 
**Please prepare an AUDITION SONG cutting under 1 minute (roughly 32 bars) in the style of the show.  Bring sheet music in the appropriate key.  Accompanist provided. Tapes or CDs are allowed.
 
**Please bring your CALENDAR with any conflicts you may have during the rehearsal period.  You are required to include this information on your audition form.
 
**Please include your current EMAIL address on the forms to be filled out at the audition.  Email is the primary method of communication for Callback and Rehearsal information.
 
RENT will perform August 8th and 9th in the Orange High School Auditorium.  The main rehearsal and performance period will be from July 26th through August 9th.  There may be additional rehearsals throughout the summer as well.  Rehearsals times will be during both day and night (a more detailed schedule will be provided at callbacks).
