HIP HOP MASTER CLASS JULY 16

 

            Two hip hop master classes - one at intermediate level and one
at advanced level - will be taught Wednesday, July 16 by Desmond Beasley,
choreographer and Ohio Youth Ballet dance team artistic director.

            The intermediate class will be 6-7 p.m. and the advanced level
will be 7-8:30 p.m. at The Turning Pointe School of Dance, 2387 Locust St.
S., Canal Fulton. Cost is only $10 per student. 

            Area dancers are invited to come and enjoy a fun and fast-paced
hip hop class where they will learn original hip hop combinations to some of
today's hottest new music. 

Desmond Beasley, who has performed with the University of Akron Dance
Company, will teach cutting edge choreography. He is a member of the
Akron-based hip hop group ILL'U'SYN, which has traveled to New York, Florida
and Nashville for various hip hop competitions. ILL'U'SYN has been seen on
BET's 106 & Park, BET's Spring Bling, and BET's Blaze the Stage. Both a
talented choreographer and dancer, Desmond specializes in hip hop but also
studies ballet, modern, tap, jazz, African dance, and jazz phunk. Call today
