Auditions: Short Film at Cleveland State
 University




Fr:ames, a film research
group at Cleveland
 State University,
will be holding auditions for a short film on Saturday July 19th.  They will be held in room 107 of the Music
and Communication
 Building, located at 2121 Euclid Avenue.  Auditions will begin at 1:00pm. Headshots,
resumes, and a prepared monologue no longer than 90 seconds are encouraged, but
not required, and each actor will be expected to do a cold reading of the
script.  Auditions will last no longer
than 15 minutes.  Actors chosen for the
film will receive credit in the final project and a copy of the film for his or
her portfolio.  The film will be shot between
July 24th and July 27th, and we are currently planning
for a 2-day shoot.  Please e-mail Rachel

stands for Film Research: Advanced Methodologies for Empirical Study.  The research team is comprised of both
faculty and students who strive to develop a better understanding of film and
its effects. 




 

Characters:




MONICA: A college-aged woman.  She is sweet and good-natured but a little
clumsy.  She has a passion for psychology
and works as a research assistant. It is a position that puts her in a
precarious and comical situation when an experiment does not go quite as
planned. 




DR. CAIN: An older college psychology professor.  He conducts experiments for the university,
knowing that he can always make participants out of students needing extra
credit.  Dr. Cain is slightly
absent-minded and tends to be the only one laughing at his own jokes.  




PROFESSOR JAMES: A middle-aged college professor. He is very
strict but will assist students if he feels they deserve his time.




LITTLE GIRL: 5 – 8 years of age. She is an imaginary figure
brought about by a psychological experiment. It is a small role, and will only
require half a day of shooting.




EXTRAS: 


YOUNG LADIES in their 20’s that are figments of a young
man’s imagination.  These roles would
require the actresses to be in swimsuits. 




SCIENTISTS that are middle-aged to older. They assist Dr.
Cain in research experiments.
