          A Fantastic Melodrama Performed "In the Round"

 

Adapted and Directed by:  Jim Volkert 

 

Description:  Helena, the daughter of the president of a major industrial
power, arrives at the island factory of Rossum's Universal Robots (R.U.R.).
She meets Domin, the General Manager of R.U.R., who tells her about the
company and how mechanical robots are taking the place of human workers.
Helena meets scientists Dr. Gall, Fabry, and Alquist and reveals she is a
representative of a human rights organization whose goal is to free the
robots. Dr. Gall is secretly making the robots more human.  The outcome will
surprise you.

 

Play Dates: Tonight, Saturday July 26th.  An afternoon matinee on Sunday
July 27th, and 2 final performances on August 1st and 2nd.

 

Play Times:   8:00 p.m.  Fridays and Saturdays

                    3:00 p.m.  Matinee on Sunday, July 27 only

 

The play is free.  Reserved seats are $5.
