New Kids on the Block
Ages 3 to 5 with a Parent
Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Tuition $135

This class is taught in the style of a "mommy-&-me" class. Students will use their imaginations in a variety of storytelling activities such as crafts, puppetry, music & movement exploration, dramatic play & creative invention. 
These exercises provide a foundation for theatrical skills such as understanding story elements, character development, creative movement, vocal exploration, & improvisation. Students will also actively engage in creating elements of technical theatre such as costumes, props, make-up, or scene design. This course is designed to be repeated.


Acting I: Places, Please!
Ages 5 ~ 8
Saturdays 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Tuition $135
Students in Acting I will gain knowledge & skills that will serve as a foundation for future theatrical endeavors. Skills include stage directions, movement for the stage, vocal production, emotional expression, & improvisation. Students will also discuss practical aspects of theatre such as audience etiquette & elements of technical theatre. Students discuss the art of theatre & storytelling & compare the art form to real life. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills by rehearsing & presenting a class performance. Students will receive constructive feedback for their work. This class is designed to be repeated.


Acting II ~ Classic Adventures
Ages 8 ~ 11
Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
OR
Tuesdays, 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Tuition $160

Students in Acting II will discuss & develop skills in practical theatre aspects such as character development, emotional expression, improvisation, movement for the stage, vocal production, auditioning & rehearsal processes. They will be introduced to some aspects of technical theatre such as: costumes, props, make-up, or scene design. Students will compare & contrast aspects of theatre & other art forms. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills by rehearsing & presenting a class performance. Students will receive constructive feedback for their work. This class is designed to work with each student at their own level. This class is designed to be repeated.


Acting III ~ Time Travelers
Ages 11 ~ 14
Saturdays, 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Tuition $160

Students in Acting III will enhance performance skills by working on character development, movement for the stage, vocal production, auditioning & theatrical process. Students will work on a theatrical presentation from a specific time period & learn fun & interesting facts on a historical time period. They will be introduced to some aspects of technical theatre such as: costumes, props, make-up, sound, lights or scene design. Students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge & skills by rehearsing & presenting a final performance. Students will receive constructive feedback for their work. This class is designed to work with each student at their own level. This class is designed to be repeated.


Acting IV ~ Actor's Studio
Ages 13 ~ 18
Saturdays, 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.
Tuition $160

Students in Acting IV will enhance performance skills by developing advanced performance techniques. Each student will work at their own pace. Skills include vocal production, movement for the stage, character development, improvisation skills, auditioning technique, character choice, emotional honesty, transitions & on-stage relationships. Students will develop these skills through scene study & monologues. Students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge & skills by rehearsing & presenting a final performance. Students will receive constructive feedback for their work. This course is designed to work with each student at their own level. This course is designed to be repeated.


Musical Theater I
Ages 5 ~ 8
Saturdays, 9:15 am to 10:15 am
Tuition $160

Students in Musical Theater I will build skills in three areas of musical theater: acting, singing & dancing. They will be introduced to practical theatre aspects such as auditioning & rehearsal process, audience etiquette, theatre vocabulary, stage directions, character development, singing technique, reading music & choreographed movement. Students will compare & contrast aspects of Musical Theatre Performance with other theatrical forms. Students will have the opportunity to apply these skills by working on musical numbers consisting of acting, singing & choreographed movement. Students will receive constructive feedback for their work. This course is designed to work with each student at their own level. This course is designed to be repeated.


Musical Theater II
Ages 9 ~ 13
Saturdays, 10:45 am to 12:00 noon
Tuition $160

Students in Musical Theater II will build skills in character development, emotional expression, music & dance vocabulary, singing technique, reading music, choreographed movement, auditioning, rehearsal process & solo performance technique. They will be introduced to some aspects of technical theatre such as: costumes, props, make-up or scene design. Students will have the opportunity to apply these skills by working on group musical numbers with acting, singing & choreography, & a solo performance. Students will receive constructive feedback for their work. This course is designed to work with each student at their own level. This course is designed to be repeated.


Broadway Dance Styles I
Ages 5 ~ 8
Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Tuition $135

Students in Broadway Dance Styles will be guided through basic dance technique; including ballet, jazz, tap and creative expression in an interactive, creative environment. To enhance success at an audition or within theatrical performance, students will learn common steps, terminology and combinations as well as how dance functions witin a play or musical. Students will practice dance calls as a part of the class process. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills by rehearsing and presenting a class performance.


Broadway Dance Styles II
Ages 8 ~ 12
Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Tuition $160

Triple Threat Training
Ages 7 to 12
Wednesdays, 5:20 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.
10 classes, September 24 to November 26
Tuition $160

Students will study all three aspects of Musical Theatre; singing, dancing and acting. In singing, focus will be on proper breathing, pitch, dynamics and emotional expression. At least one piece from the music theatre genre will be studied and memorized for the student to use in auditions. In dance, emphasis will be placed on warming up to avoid injuries, learning basic musical theatre steps, staying with the beat and working on combinations and choreography. More advanced dancers have the opportunity to do more difficult steps. Acting involves the study of monologues, scenes, improvisation, audition technique and theatre games. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills by rehearsing and presenting a class performance. This class is designed to work with each student at their own level. This class is designed to be repeated.
