Brecksville - Broadview Heights High School
 
Brecksville – Broadview Heights High School is the home of superlatives in many disciplines, not the least of which is visual art. Students have been recognized for artistic excellence.
 
This retrospective exhibition features selections of “Highly Well Qualified” artworks submitted for national evaluation. Six students produced an AP Studio Art portfolio that included up to 24 artworks in one of the following focus areas: Drawing, 2-Dimentional Design or 3-Dimensional Design. Half of each portfolio was considered for “Breadth” – range of media, concept and aesthetic consideration. The other half involved a “Concentration” or a body of work dealing with a particular visual concern.
 
Deanna Turcotte completed all three types of portfolios during her junior and senior years at BBHHS. Rae Farine and Katie Bullock each completed the Drawing and 2-Dimentional Design portfolios. Emily Drumm and Samanatha Fiorello completed 2-D and Drawing portfolios, respectively. All of these artists have exceeded expectations for college level artwork and will move on to continue their pursuit of careers in visual art.
 
Brecksville Center for the Arts is pleased to offer this exhibition free of charge to the public.
