[NEohioPAL] Reminder: Open Auditions for Student Films

Virginia Marti College of Art and Design's Digital Media students will be
producing their short films this fall and will begin casting on AUGUST 22nd
from noon to 4pm on campus.

These films will be submitted to an array of festivals (previous films have
been featured at the Los Angeles International Shorts Fest and Ohio
Independent Film Festival).

Below is the list of films and the associated roles:

   - Ugly Shoes, directed by Dominic Valenti - a day in the life of 2
   eccentric brothers:
      - Lee - male, 20-25, RED HEAD, skater type, confrontational, wanting
      nothing but a good time
      - AJ - male, 20-25, follows his brother (Lee) around and is very
      protective of him
      - Titan Hero, directed by Bryce Taylor - superhero challenged with the
   doldrums of 9-5 office culture:
      - Titan Hero - male, 25-35, A corporate business office worker, he
      tries daily to better his life to no avail, he hates his job,
his life, his
      corporate consumerism, and his heroism. He denies his true identity
      constantly just to attempt to become socially acceptable in the business
      world.
      - Killbot - Thrust into becoming evil he's really a good robot at his
      core, yet he denies his true self to walk the path of destruction and
      malevolence.
      - DOA, directed by Yoshi Andrego - a femme fatale assassin on the run
   from her past and trying to make a new life:
      - Alice - female, 20-30, athletic, has a split personality that takes
      over when she can not deal with situations .
      - Agent Bob - male, 25-35, hit man after Alice, prone to accidents
      - Wayne - male, 20-30, athletic, comic relief character obsessed with
      Alice, protein shakes, and his physique
      - Agent Fred - male, 20-25, government agent who is very cocky from
      having no failed missions. He likes to tell his target what he
thinks about
      life before killing them.
      - My Dear Wormwood, directed by Aaron Snyder - a mother and daughter's
   dialog reveals an unforeseeable predicament:
      - Mother - female, 35-45, A seemingly loving and strong woman who
      never questions the beliefs and values ingrained in her by her mother.
      - Daughter - female, 5-12, Your average little girl, full of life and
      curiosity
      - Hush, directed by Stephen Mlinarcik - a reflective young man has
   discovered that a ghost of his past relationship has begun appearing in his
   apartment and is coping with both the fear of the unknown and the comfort of
   companionship.
   - Elliot - male, early 20's living alone and recently out of a long term
      relationship that ended badly.  He has lived in recluse since the break-up
      - Ghost - female, early 20's, Barely speaks, often lets her face
      express what she is feeling over her words.  Always seen wearing a light,
      airy nightgown.
      - Jon - male, early 20's, an outgoing personality and strong self
      confidence (Elliot's best friend and confidant)
      - Words of Prey, directed by Ralph Miller - Two longtime friends try
   to cope with greed over their love of money and women.
      - Kevin Bryson - male, 25-30, A suave, ladies man, and bartender by
      night who will do anything to make the money and meet the ladies.
      - Rick Wunderle - male, 25-30, An introvert, stay at home kind of guy.
      Would rather be on the computer meeting woman rather than out at a bar.
      Lover of money also.
      - Vikki Bell - male 25-35, A shady girl who loves her money, men, and
      power, in no particular order. Smart and conniving are a few of
her traits
      as well as her love for the next big scam.
      - Sweet Irony, directed by Kreg Vetovitz - 3 thugs meet in a hotel
   room to await further orders, paranoia and mistrust turn the events:
      - Paul Taylor - male, 25-35, take-charge attitude but extremely
      paranoid, criminal background, not trustworthy
      - Aaron Bishop - male, 20-25, curious and persistently annoying, this
      character cannot be trusted as his desire for money is apparent
      - Marshall Kellen - male, 25-35, criminal background but trying to
      conceal past in order to take care of family, will do anything for his
      family
