To be Held TODAY, Saturday Afternoon, September 6
Free jazz concert features two jazz groups, art show and children’s
activities
 
 
The 6th annual JAZZ at the Rockefeller Greenhouse will be held today,
Saturday, Sept. 6, at the City of Cleveland’s Rockefeller Park Greenhouse,
750 E 88th St.  
 
The free concert, scheduled from 1 – 4:30 pm, will feature two well-known,
locally-based jazz groups, Annette Keys & Road Trip, and the Jazz Heritage
Orchestra Quintet.   JAZZ’s motto is “Tour the Grounds! Dig the Sounds!”  In
case of inclement weather, a rain date is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 7.  
 
Other event elements are:  an art show organized in conjunction with Sankofa
Fine Art Plus featuring Cleveland-based artists; a free Lolly the Trolley
ride thru the Cultural Gardens, activities for kids, and a voter
registration table.  Light snacks and beverages sold during the event help
support Rockefeller Greenhouse programs.
 
As in previous years, the concert will be held on the facility’s main mall.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.  (Last
year’s concert drew about 2,400 attendees for the afternoon.)
