AUDITIONS  for  Metamorphoses!!!!!

Wednesday, Sept. 10 – 3:30-6:30 pm 

and  Thursday, Sept. 11 – 3:30-5:30 pm 

Scripts are available for perusal.   Come prepared to read, to sing, and to dance.

 

Background:  The play was produced on Broadway in 2002 and received the 2002 Tony Award for Best Director, and was nominated for Best Play and Best Scenic Design.

 

Synopsis:  Metamorphoses retells some of O vid’s Greek and Roman myths, staged around a pool of water.  It’s a play of ancient tales with a contemporary twist!  T he tales emphasize love, loss, and the transforming powers of memory and the imagination.  Tales include:  Midas and Silenus, Orpheus, Alcyone, Vertumnus and Pomona, Phaeton and Apollo, Baucis and Philemon.

 

NEEDED:   Actors--  young men, ages 14-22…  
 Also needed are singers, dancers, musicians.
