Cleveland Public Theatre announces open auditions for: 

Crumble (Lay Me Down Justin Timberlake)

CPT is proud to present this quirky comedy about an old house and
Janice, a twelve year old girl whose Christmas wish list includes
bleach, paraffin and other bomb-making materials. It's been a year since
the untimely death of Janice's father, and to deal with it all, she
holds spiteful conversations with her dolls and dreams of Justin
Timberlake, while her mother fantasizes about Harrison Ford and relies
on her superior baking skills to hold herself together. Throw in an
apartment that starts to plot murder and you're left with a wild and
crazy ride to redemption and healing.

 

Looking to cast the following roles:

 

*	Janice: Female, spiteful and emotionally distraught, 11 yrs old-
(Must be 16 years of age or older due to content of the play)

 

*	Mother: Female, conflicted & beside herself about daughter: late
30's- 40's

 

*	Barbara: Female, a "crazed cat lady" and Janice's aunt: 40's

 

*	Father/Justin Timberlake/Harrison Ford: Male, appears as
fantasies: 20's- 40's

 

*	The Apartment: Male, omnipresent & murderous, any age

 

 

Auditions will be by appointment only and will be scheduled in 1 hour
increments.  Actors should come prepared with the appropriate sides for
the role they are interested in auditioning for.  You will be emailed
these sides upon making an appointment.  Auditions may also consist of
cold readings from the script.  

 

Auditions will be held on the following days:

 

Thursday, October 2nd: 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Saturday, October 4th 1:00pm - 5:00pm

 

If necessary, callbacks will be held on Tuesday, October 7th from 7:00pm
- 9:00pm. Rehearsals begin October 28th with performances in the CPT
Bookstore December 4th through December 20th. Performances are Thursday,
Friday and Saturday evenings.
