*Directed by Harriet DeVeto and Thomas M. Stephan *
Harriet DeVeto portrays opera legend Maria Callas in this challenging
play, based on a series of master classes given by the singer at the
Juilliard School of Music in New York in the early 1970s. Master Class
has been called 'a love letter' to the caustic, poignant and funny
singer. Also starring David Keith Stiver, Sharon Lloyd, Amy Hall, Marc
Finney and Marc Dusini.
"Ms. DeVeto brings all the brazen bravura, grand self-significance,
and interpersonal inaccessibility that one would expect from someone
of Callas' stature. Her arsenal of diva qualities and her ability to
seamlessly bounce between her character's passion for the art and
indifference for the artist are impressive and interesting to
watch... those who find pleasure in witnessing a fine one-woman tour
de force should make their way to the CVLT in downtown Chagrin Falls."
-- Bob Abelman, Chagrin Valley Times
CVLT was voted 'Best Community Theatre' by Cleveland Magazine Readers,
and 'Best Theatre Group' on the Fox 8 HotList in 2007.
Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is generously funded by Cuyahoga County
residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and is supported by the Ohio
Arts Council.
