[NEohioPAL] University of Akron Steel Drum Band coming to Medina!

On Saturday, October 25, 2008, The University of Akron Steel Drum Band
returns to Medina for a one-performance- only, high energy concert! 

 

Under the esteemed direction of Dr. Larry Snider and Matt Dudak, the goal of
the band has been to preserve and promote the national instrument of
Trinidad and Tobago: Pan! One of the band's CD's, Live at E.J. Thomas Hall,
was nominated for a Grammy Award and features a great live recording of a
concert with David Rudder, Pan Ramajay, Andy Narell, Cliff Alexis, and Ray
Holman

 

Sponsored by Main Street Medina, the Steel Drum concert is the second in a
series of four concerts featuring music from around the world. The
performance will begin at 8:00pm at Broadway Hall in the Public
Administration Building.

 

Tickets are selling fast, and we are limited to 500 seats! 

Adult tickets $25 each

Students and Seniors (60+) $20 each

Groups of 10 or more $20 each
