FAIRMOUNT PERFORMING ARTS CONSERVATORY (FPAC)
For Immediate Release
November 9, 2008

The Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory, a division of Fairmount Center
for the Arts, is pleased to announce a wide range of new theatre activity in
its new performing space at the Mayfield Village Civic Center, including its
first season of professional plays.

Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory (FPAC), under the artistic direction
of Fred Sternfeld, cultivates the art of live theatre while providing
intensive actor training in its professional workshops. Additionally, by
establishing a dialogue with its audience and its community, FPAC reaches
out to people in our northeast Ohio community through performances,
educational offerings and future outreach programming.

This year (2008-2009), FPAC will be offering its first season of
live theatre professional productions that will include
A CHRISTMAS CAROL - AN EVENING WITH CHARLES DICKENS, starring Executive
Director, Tom Fulton and THE ODD COUPLE by Neil Simon, directed by Fred
Sternfeld.

The Conservatory offers programming both in performance and arts education.
 The educational arm of the conservatory was founded in 2004 as the
Fairmount Performing Arts Camp.  Now it its sixth year, Fairmount has
expanded the concept to include both educational programming and performance
to become a professional conservatory in partnership with Mayfield Village.
  FPAC will be producing a number of popular musicals and plays in its
Youth and Teen Theatre and Summer Camp initiatives as well.

THE ODD COUPLE

RUN OF SHOW: Thurs, Friday, Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees.
April 16 – May 3, 2009;

Audition dates and times for THE ODD COUPLE will be announced shortly.

Other plays under consideration for future include THE MIRACLE WORKER,
GRAPES OF WRATH, and ONE FLEW OVER THE CUKOO'S NEST.

Since the founding of Fairmount in 1971, the center has affected the lives
of many  thousands of young people through our broad-based training programs
in all the arts.
