ALEX BEVAN NOMINATED FOR GRAMMY
 
            Cleveland, Ohio – Little Fish Records announced today that Cleveland folk icon, Alex Bevan, has been nominated in this year’s Grammy Awards for his latest release:  “Dancing with the Muse,” which was recorded live on The Kent Stage in Kent, Ohio.  The recording has been placed in the category for Folk – Best Contemporary/Americana album, and is available at the Little Fish website, www.littlefishrecords.com, and area record/book stores.  It will also be available at all the major digital download sites.  Bevan will release his third CD of 2008, “Fly Away”, on December 28th at the Beachland Ballroom.  Details about the show will be announced soon.  
          Alex Bevan has been sharing his voice, guitar, music and stories with audiences for more than thirty years.  First known as the “Skinny Little Boy” from Cleveland, Ohio who came to “Chase your wimmin’ and drink your beer.”   Alex has made a name for himself throughout the Northeast Ohio music scene.  Drawing on his deep skill set of imaginative and honest song writing, combined with an agile, improvisational wit that dovetails wonderfully with his flawless guitar slinging.  Alex never fails to delight and charm audiences no matter what the venue.  His recordings span the gamut from folk to folk/rock and pop, to children’s educational music. He has won a number of awards for his commercial efforts in radio and television.  His creative works have also contributed to documentary film scores.
In recent years, Alex has penned an album of songs about his beloved Lake Erie, produced five recordings for popular Put-In-Bay/Key West performer, Pat Dailey, written over one hundred radio and TV commercials, won an EMMY for his post-score of NBC’s “American Promise” documentary segment “The Rustbelt Blues”, re-released many of his early titles on compact disc, and worked as a vocal and guitar talent on many friends’ projects.  He still maintains an active performance schedule throughout the year.  For more information on Alex Bevan, go to: www.alexbevan.com  .  For information on this year’s Grammy Awards, go to:  www.grammy.com .
