CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM PRESENTS LORD OF THE BURGEONING LUMBER, BY TOM
HAYES, THURSDAY, NOV. 20 AT THE LIMINIS – A WORLD PREMIERE PRODUCTION.

When a very nearsighted forest ranger stumbles upon a campsite where two
rough-and-tumble cowboys are having a really good time roughly tumbling in
the woods, all manner of surreal gender-bending, shape-shifting,
psyche-shattering mayhem erupts. Can the wily Ranger counter the campy
carnal craziness, or will the howling power of the spirits of the eternal
forest overcome them all? Lord of the Burgeoning Lumber is a
magical-realism comedy that takes some bizarre surrealistic turns as it
plays merry havoc with the malleable nature of identity.

Artistic Director Clyde Simon directs the world premier of Tom Hayes’
winning entry in convergence-continuum’s 2008 New Plays Competition. The
cast includes convergence-continuum company members Geoffrey Hoffman (the
transformative Timothy), Tom Kondilas (the smoldering Spooky) and Mark K
(live music and Foley). Sarah Kunchick (Helga) returns for her second
appearance at the Liminis; and Tyson Douglas Rand (the wiley Ranger) and
Megan DePetro (the Butterfly Queen) join c-c for their first appearances
on the convergence-continuum stage.

LORD OF THE BURGEONING LUMBER opens Thursday, November 20 and runs Thu-Sat
through December 20 (except Thanksgiving Day) at the Liminis, 2438
Scranton Rd. in Cleveland’s historic Tremont neighborhood. All shows are
at 8 pm. Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 students/seniors (65+).
