*"Rebellion and Rebirth: A woman's journey of identity"*

In 1879, Henrik Ibsen created an extremely controversial play that
challenged the convention of marriage norms of the time. The beginning of
the 19th Century was a time when women were fighting to be seen as equals in
politics, society, and marriage. Ibsen, a supporter of women's right was
criticized for writing the story of Nora and the "un-raveling" of her
seemingly perfect marriage to her husband, Torvald. Nora commits a series of
rebellions throughout her journey towards discovering the truth about
herself and the life that she has known. Early in their marriage, Nora
secretly borrowed money in order to protect her husband. When events unfold
Torvald discovers the secret which leads Nora to question their marriage,
her life, and finally her own identity. *A Doll's House* is directed by
Assistant Professor Holly Holsinger and includes CSU students: Vanessa
Flores, Eric Perusek, Lew Wallace, Stephanie Wilbert, Jack Matuszewski,
Lydia Chanenka, and Megan Barker.
