[NEohioPAL] VARIOUS POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN AMHERST

The Sandstone Summer Theatre located in Amherst, OH is currently advertising
for several Director positions for the 2009 summer performances.  Sandstone
performs three full length plays for three age groups.  All plays are
performed in the Amherst Steele High School cafetorium located on Washington
St.

Positions available:

*SANDSTONE* - age group is from 15 years and up to all ages, rehearsals
begin June 11, 2009 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM with performances July 23 - 25,
2009.  The play has not been chosen as of yet, but it will be a musical.

*Director* - responsible to work with all crew heads, and the Producer to
cast and direct the play.

*Technical Director* - responsible to work with the Director and the
technical crew in designing and building sets and props.

*Music Director* - organize and rehearse with an appropriate size orchestra
for the play.  If  you have vocal experience the opportunity might exist to
also perform the functions of the Chorale Director.

*Chorale Director* - warm up the cast on vocals, and work with them
throughout the rehearsal period on the songs.

*Choreographer *- choreograph the play while working with the Director and
the cast.

*Costumer* - create costumes appropriate for the play while working with the
Director.

*APPRENTICES AND SUNSHINE COMPANY* - each group will perform its own play
that have yet to be chosen, but will be musicals.

APPRENTICES - age group 12 to 14 years old, rehearsals begin June 29, 2009
from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with performances July 31 + August 1, 2009.

SUNSHINE COMPANY - age group 8 - 11 years old, rehearsals begin June 29,
2009 from 9:30 to 11:30 with performances July 31 + August 1, 2009.

*Technical Director* - responsible to work with the Director and the
technical crew in building simple sets and props.

*Chorale Director* - warm up the cast on vocals, and work with them
throughout the rehearsal period on the songs.  The CD that accompanies the
scripts will be used during rehearsals and performances.

The salary for all positions is commensurate with past experience.
