Great Lakes Theater Festival Announces Auditions
For Touring Production Of Chekhov's The Boar

 

                Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF) announces open
auditions for one non-equity actress for the community outreach touring
production of Anton Chekhov's The Boar, a one-act play.  This production
is developed in support of the Festival's spring 2009 mainstage
production of The Seagull, and will tour to 29 community venues in
northern Ohio between February 17 and March 18, 2009, with both daytime
and evening performances.  Rehearsals will be evenings beginning in late
January.  The play will be directed by Andrew May.

 

                Needed is one female actress, age range 25-35, to
portray Popova.  The two male roles have already been cast.  All
positions are paid.

 

                Those auditioning should bring a headshot and resume and
prepare one contemporary monologue, no longer than two minutes.
Familiarity with Chekhov's The Boar is helpful but not immediately
required.  Auditions will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from
2:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  The audition sessions will take place at
PlayhouseSquare's Green Rehearsal Hall, 1650 Chester Avenue, Cleveland,
OH  44114.
