OHIO YOUTH BALLET & DANCE TEAM TO PERFORM AT HISTORIC LIONS
LINCOLN THEATRE

You've heard of dinner and a movie? How about dance and a movie? The Ohio
Youth Ballet & Dance Team performs original choreography Jan. 16, 17 and 18
at the historic Lions Lincoln Theatre in downtown Massillon to promote the
Kimono Exhibit coming to the Canton Museum of Art Feb. 8-April 26.

Thanks to a grant from ArtsinStark, the County Arts Council, the
pre-professional Ohio Youth Ballet & Dance Team has continued its mission of
"bringing dance to the people" and at the same time has been performing
throughout Northeast Ohio to promote the exhibit.

After watching the OYB & Dance Team at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16-17 and 5:30 p.m.
Jan. 18, stay for "Memoirs of a Geisha" at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Jan.
16-17; and 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18.

"Memoirs of a Geisha" is a visually stunning Oscar-winning drama/romance and
a Cinderella story of sorts about the life of a fictional geisha in Japan
around World War II. The movie runs 145 minutes and is rated PG-13 for
mature subject matter and some sexual content.

The Ohio Youth Ballet & Dance Team is the elite performance team from the
non-profit Ohio Youth Ballet and Dance School, 2387 Locust St. S., Canal
Fulton. The Ohio Youth Ballet & Dance School is excited about the
opportunity to work with the newly-formed Lincoln Classic Film Club, which
has been making movies available for businesses, organizations and people to
sponsor for a weekend. Every weekend, the Lincoln Theatre features a movie
at an affordable price. Tickets are available at the door for $3. Donations
to the non-profit Ohio Youth Ballet & Dance School will be accepted.

"Kimono as Art: The Landscapes of Itchiku Kubota" features 40
oversized kimono created by Master Kubota. "Kimono as Art" tours the United
States for only six months and only stops in Canton and San Diego. Numerous
events are taking place throughout Stark County leading up to the event and
during the exhibit. For more information about the exhibit, please visit
www.kimonoexhibit.com <http://www.kimonoexhibit.com/> .
