CARLOS JONES & THE P.L.U.S. BAND PERFORM
THEIR 5th ANNUAL “HOLIDAY REVIVAL SHOW”
 AT THE HOUSE OF BLUES

Cleveland, Ohio – Little Fish Records announced today that Carlos Jones & The P.L.U.S. Band (aka The Peace, Love, Unity Syndicate) will be performing their 5th Annual “Holiday Revival Show” at The House of Blues on Sunday, December 28th at  8:00 p.m. (308 Euclid Avenue., Cleveland, OH 44114;  216-861-3229).   Tickets are $10-12.  This is an all-ages show.  Opening will be local Afro-Beat sensations, Mifune (www.mifunemusic.com).
Carlos Jones (www.carlosjones.com) is completing a landmark year – one that marks his 50th birthday and his 30th year as a full-time musician; the 20th year anniversary of his first recording in CD format, the classic “Meltdown” by First Light; and his first reunion concert with First Light since their 10-year breakup.   In the meantime, Jones’ songwriting talents have come to the forefront recently as he’s had several songs licensed for various uses this year.  Several songs played a prominent role in the movie “Northstarr” which premiered at this year’s Sundance Movie Festival.  His song “Torchbearer” was included in a college textbook/CD package on World Music, which has gone into a 2nd printing.  Another song “Apartment Living” (recorded by First Light) was recently used in the movie trailer for the new Matthew McConaughey movie, “Surfer Dude.”  It’s no wonder fans are waiting anxiously for the new P.L..U.S
Band CD, due out this spring.  Jones has been working on the new CD with producer Jacob Fader, who happens to lead the band Mifune – the opener for the December 28th show.
Mifune, fresh off the release of their second CD, “Time Is Watching Us”, will open the show with their unique blend of funky poly-rhythms, tight harmonies, soulful vocals, and blazing horns.   The group has received critical acclaim for the new recording, created at the group’s own studio facilities in Cleveland Heights.  Their unique sound, while centering on what they call “Afro-Electronique”, includes elements of funk, soul, pop, hip-hop, reggae, and electronic dance music.  For more information on Mifune, go to:  www.mifunemusic.com or www.myspace.com/mifunesound .
