Following up our discussion last week of plays vs musicals, this note from Playbill.com indicates All My Sons recouped it's 3.25 million dollar investment. The article also says The Seagull did, too, when it was on Broadway. (They must have had Tom Fulton directing it since his production at Beck a few years back did very well in box office.)

Producers of the Broadway production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons announced Dec. 8 that the staging has recouped its $3.25 million capitalization.
The hit production starring John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Patrick Wilson and Katie Holmes, and directed by Simon McBurney, began previews on Sept. 18 and opened Oct. 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, 236 West 45 Street. The limited engagement ends as scheduled on Jan. 11 2009.
(This is the second Broadway recoupment announced Dec. 8. The limited run of The Seagull is now an official hit, as well.)
This production of All My Sons marks the first posthumous Broadway staging of an Arthur Miller play.
McBurney's signature directorial touches are evident in this bold production, which uses projections, as ensemble seated within view of the main action, a soundscape and (at the top of the show) a scene-setting by Lithgow himself, who reads Miller's words from the script.
The cast also features Becky Ann Baker, Christian Camargo, Jordan Gelber, Danielle Ferland, Damian Young and Michael D'Addario.
All My Sons won the Tony Award for the author in 1947 and ran for 328 performances on Broadway. According to production notes, "Miller took his inspiration from a true story about a successful business man who knowingly sold the government defective airplane parts during World War II with tragic consequences. The truth comes out and his life unravels when his son prepares to marry his business partner's daughter."
The design is by Tom Pye (sets and costumes); Paul Anderson (lights); Christopher Shutt and Carolyn Downing (sound); Finn Ross for Mesmer (projections) and Paul Huntley (wigs and hair).
All My Sons is produced by Eric Falkenstein, Ostar Productions, Barbara H. Freitag, Stephanie P. McClelland, Scott Delman, Roy Furman, Ruth Hendel, in association with Hal Luftig, Jane Bergère, and Jamie deRoy.
All My Sons plays Tuesday at 7 PM, Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM, Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM, Sunday at 3 PM.
